Account and Data Deletion

This page explains how to delete your Cars.sy account and the data attached to it. Cars.sy is operated by Shard Soft LTD, Damascus, Syria. The same account is used by the Cars.sy website and by the Cars.sy mobile app, so deleting it removes both.

1. Delete your account yourself

In the mobile app: open Profile, tap Delete account, and confirm with your password.

On the website: sign in, open your profile page, scroll to the Delete Account section, and confirm with your password.

The account is removed immediately and the action cannot be undone.

2. Request deletion by email

If you can no longer sign in, write to [email protected] from the email address registered on the account, or state the phone number you registered with, and ask us to delete the account. We verify that the account is yours and complete the deletion within 30 days.

3. What is deleted

• Your account and profile details (name, email address, phone number).
• All of your vehicle listings, together with their photos.
• Your saved and favourite listings.
• Messages and enquiries you sent or received.
• Your dealer profile, if you have one.
• The access tokens of your signed-in mobile sessions.

4. What we keep, and for how long

We keep no copy of your profile or your listings after deletion. Records we are required to keep by Syrian law, such as accounting records for paid services, are retained for the period the law prescribes. Technical server logs that may contain your IP address are rotated within 90 days.
